From v5.0 OpenSpecimen allows the user to reserve the collected specimens for specific distribution protocol. These reserved specimens cannot be distributed to other researchers.
Specimens can be reserved for specific distribution protocol from different pages listed below:
- Visits overview page
- Specimen Cart
- Specimens list within the protocol
- Query results page
OpenSpecimen also allows user to cancel the reservation so that specimens can be utilized for other distribution protocols.
The user can distribute all the reserved specimens in one go or can select the specimens to be distributed from the reserved specimens list page.
