  • Adding additional collections to protocol

I’m having an issue with adding extra collections to a protocol already set up. Certain times or for specific patient we get more than our usual collections (plasma, cell pellets, serum) and before in caTissue, you could add extra by adding aliquots under the parent of that specimen collected, is that still possible? I’m getting this message: ERROR! Label is required. I have the screen shot of it and the error that was caught in the server log file if someone could help me with this.

    Hi @Amy_Wells,

You can add extra adhoc collections to a protocol. This feature is always supported. Please share the screenshot and server log. You can attach in this post itself. Also let us know which version you are using?

    Hi @Amy_Wells,

Could you please confirm that, have you set the label generator property to auto generate the specimen labels?

There are two ways to auto generate the labels:

    1. Default label generation: For this the below property should be set in ${JBoss-Home}/server/default/catissuecore-properties/LabelGenerator.properties file
      specimenLabelGeneratorClass = edu.wustl.catissuecore.namegenerator.DefaultSpecimenLabelGenerator
    2. Template based label generation: For details please refer: https://catissueplus.atlassian.net/wiki/x/T4Ah

    ~Nitesh

Here is the screenshot and server log. We are using version 1.0

    server.log.2015-05-12.txt - Shortcut.lnk (1.5 KB)

    auto_os.docx (169.4 KB)

Just to remind taht the exact version of openspecimen Amy used is 1.1 rc3 but after it shown as 1.0.

The system was upgraded from catissue to catissueplus and then openspecimen.

Yes, we are aware Amy is using 1.1. Could you please answer the questions asked by Nitesh so that we know what the exact cause is.

If the application is showing 1.0, then during deployment there a property version info in caTissueInstall.properties, maybe that is not set properly. Please check.

    Thanks,
    Poornima

Got it. Yes it is because that value is set 1.0 in caTissueInstall.properties, should be 1_1_RC3.

Now how could I change this to 1_1_RC3 without redeploy app? or I have to redepoly the app only?

    Thanks a lot.

    Hi @jmfeng,

Application needs to be redeployed to apply these changes.

    ~Nitesh

We have done both: 1) set the property file during the deployment 2) changed the template in the front end as %BARCODE%. It works fine for planned collection, but not for unplanned.

    Hello @jmfeng

For the label generation to work for unplanned specimens, you need to define label format on the main collection protocol page. Have you set the label format tokens on this page below under the three label format fields.

Yes,all three fields are configured as %BARCODE%
