    Changing the Container Name

    Hello Sri, Poornima,

I wish you and the entire Krishagni team a great prosperous year. It is nice to know that you will be in several conferences this year. I am hoping to be able to attend one for them.

    When is the next Webinar?

Per this posting: https://catissueplus.atlassian.net/browse/OPSMN-1672 , you made a system configuration change that allows for changing the container name, but no details were posted. Would it be possible for you to send me or post instructions on how to change the Storage container name? I see that Matt asked for that as well.

Thank You in advance for your help.

    Nadia

    Hello Nadia,

Wish you and your team a happy new year too.

We will be posting about next webinar shortly.

For configuration details for storage container label, please refer to last section in https://catissueplus.atlassian.net/wiki/x/T4Ah

    Thanks,
    Poornima

    Hello Poornima,

Thank you for your wishes and response back…

I see that this is mentioned:

This will generate the label in the format __ID and during container creation the label field is hidden as it is system generated. It is possible to change the format to be : Freezer_name_Type_ID, instead of SiteName, like it was in caTissue 1.2 and how?

    Thanks

    Nadia

I followed the above directions and it did not change the configuration. If I changed the same config in the deployment files and redeployed, it did change the setting.

It appears that a different naming convention for auto-generated code would require a new class to be written and referenced in the config, correct?

@Nan_Halabi, there is no change in the format of container name auto generation, it is same as what it was in caTissue 1.2.

@bob_lange, there is no need to redeploy app for this configuration change. If you changed this property within JBoss, you have to just restart the server.
Yes, for any format changes, you need to write new class for auto generation and configure that.

    Thanks,
    Poornima

    Poornima,

Something must have changed according to Gilbert’s finding, he had no problem entering the freezers info in previous versions (caTissue 1.2 and caTissue Plus) and we followed the instructions on your manual. Please check Gilbert’s comment as he worked today on the freezers:

“Apparently there has been a change in the way containers are named using Container Auto. This is in comparison to CaTissue 1.2 and Ca Tissue+. We configured several freezers in Ca Tissue 1.2 and Ca Tissue+ with minimal problems. We assigned the names of our freezers and the preceding containers were pre-pended with the freezer names. But with Open Specimen, containers are pre-pended with the Site Name. This is confusing to us as we have multiple freezers at a site. Renaming freezers and their containers is a long process and this becomes a burden. There should be an option on how to name your containers in Container Auto.”

    Please advise

    Thank You

    Nadia

    @bob_lange

There is no need to redeploy app. Just a restart of JBoss should help. However, if you are frequently deploying app for some reasons, then whatever configuration changes done in JBoss will be overwritten by config of deployment files.

I tried it again without the deploy and it looks like it worked this time.
