  • Error - colecting specimens

    Hello,
    I’ve got an error when I try to collect a specimen. Below I’ve attached a printscreen.
    After this, the specimen seems to be collected but I don’t know if this error affects something in database.

    @Radu_Zonda

    Which Beta version of OS v2.0 are you using? All the values used in the screenshot looks fine. Looks like label is auto generated, is there a label format you have specified at protocol level? If yes, please share format used.

    Also when this error comes, can you see if there is any error in the server.log(JBOSS-HOME/server/default/log) and share that.

    Thanks,
    Poornima

    Hi, @Poornima_Govindrao ,
    I’m using OSv2 beta5
    I can’t find the server log. Here is the folder tree on the server:

    Hi @Radu_Zonda,

    Please send the catalina.out and localhost.2015-06-12.log file.

    ~Nitesh

    Hello, @nitesh_marwaha ,
    I’ve attached the localhost file. Catalina.out was too big, so you can find it accessing this link:

    localhost.2015-06-12.log (10.3 KB)

    @Radu_Zonda

    There is nothing much in the error log which is leading to the issue you are facing. Are you able to reproduce the error consistently?

    Can you please try the same on demo site - http://demo.openspecimen.org/openspecimen/ and let us know if you are able to reproduce.

    Thanks,
    Poornima

    Hello,
    I’ve got the same error on demo site too.
    I get the error every time when I try to collect specimens.

    Hello @Radu_Zonda

    The label format you had defined in the protocol for these specimens were incorrect. You need to use tokens to set label formats and you have to make sure that the labels generated using these tokens are unique. I removed the label formats and manually assigned the labels, it worked fine now.

    Please check this document on how to use label formats - https://openspecimen.atlassian.net/wiki/x/cwcR

    Thanks,
    Poornima
