Feedback on UI changes in v12.1 – Layout adjustments and Role-based views

    Hi everyone,

We’ve recently been looking into the UI changes introduced in v12.1, and I wanted to check in with the community to see if others have had similar experiences. We are upgrading from v9.1

    Specifically:

    1. UI/UX Feedback: Have your users raised specific complaints regarding the new layout or interface changes in this version?
    2. Customization: Has anyone successfully implemented layout changes to mitigate these issues?
    3. Role-Based Views: Have you explored hiding specific UI elements or fields based on user roles to simplify the interface?

We’re curious to know how you’ve dealt with these transitions and if there are any “lessons learned” or configuration tips you’d be willing to share.

Thanks in advance for your insights!

    Hi @Stephen_Fung,

We (CUIMC) are currently on v11 and testing v12. We have found UI changes that do not align with our current workflow and have been having ongoing conversations.

    Below are my responses:

    1. On our end we are not satisfied with the recent visual changes. What was intended to simplify the views has instead made information less accessible. The updated layout and information placement require users to search for details rather than being able to locate them intuitively, as they did previously.

2 & 3. We have not implemented any customizations to address these issues, as the changes we are requesting fall outside the scope of the allowable customizations. We have shared these concerns with the vendor’s team and requested that the layout—at minimum for the overview section—revert to v11, as this is the format users are most familiar and comfortable with.

We are waiting on v13 as v12 has received alot of feedback.
