Hi Jesus,
Here is the link for how to deploy OpenSpecimen on Tomcat - https://catissueplus.atlassian.net/wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=33128714
Hello Kruti,
Can you please explain why would someone deploy Open Specimen on Tomcat? What are the benefits, is it for additional security? Is it something that that to be done: in other words is it optional or mandatory?
That will be a good topic for one of the Webinars, a suggestion.
Thank you
Nadia
Hello Nadia,
It is optional to deploy OpenSpecimen on Tomcat.
The reason for deploying OpenSpecimen on tomcat is it is much lighter than JBoss. It will consume less memory. The main difference between two is that JBoss provides a full Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) stack and many other technologies.Tomcat is much more limited.
Hello Vinod,
Thanks for your response.
It seems to me from your explanation that since Tomcat is limited, then JBoss Slim is a better option?

Nadia
As far as OpenSpecimen’s code uses technologies provided by JBoss , Slim JBoss is better.
Hello Vinod,
That is what I though.
Thanks for confirming this to me.

Nadia
