  • Import patient demographics and freezer data from access database in to openspecimen

    Hello,

I have created boxes with in rack and racks with in freezer. I would like to import the data from access database (patient and Freezer data) to openspecimen. Can you help me how to proceed further. Any help is appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Diya

    Hi Diya,

You can use the Bulk Upload feature of OpenSpecimen to import data. The data will have to be entered in a format accepted by OpenSpecimen, so you have to use pre-defined templates to load the data.

For Patient data: Use the ‘Register Participants’ BO template.
For Freezer data: Use the ‘Create Container’ BO template to first create the empty boxes(to hold the specimens) in the racks you have created. Then to upload specimen data along with its storage information, use the ‘Create Parent Specimens’, ‘Create Derivatives’, ‘Create Aliquots’ BO templates.

You can refer to https://catissueplus.atlassian.net/wiki/x/8YD5AQ for help in using the BO Templates.

    Thanks,
    Kruti

    Hello,

I am trying to upload participants data through CreateParticipants template using bulk upload feature.
what bulk operation template to choose from the drop-down for uploading participant data?
FYI: Create Participants template is not listed in the drop-down list.

    Thanks,
    Diya

    Hi Diya,

Please check for ‘Register Participants’ template in the ‘Select Bulk Operation’ dropdown.

    Thanks,
