Does OS 1.x support the caTIES loader, concept coder and de-identification servers? Are they available in the deployment package?

    Thanks

We do not test them, so not sure if it still works. I think they are still available in the package.

@John_Reber have you tested OS1.x with caTIES.

    Dave,

No, I gave up on it back before Plus. Was told it should work, but that was not my experience at the time.

I started writing my own with OS, using Mirth to ready my HL7’s into a staging table, then planned on using the REST API’s to load them. The REST API’s successfully loaded into the reports into the ‘identified_report’ and deidentified_report’ columns which are in the specimen_coll_group table, which was my understanding that OS was changing to.

There was a 2-fold problem with my understanding of things.

    1. The reports were not migrated to this new structure.

    2. OS still looks for the reports in the old NCI structure, not the new columns.

I was told there were no immediate plans to address this and that I’d have to write my own sql to load into the NCI layout.

At this point I’m looking at TIES 5.x for SPR’s. I tested it using their VM and it worked quite well loading the reports, including using the Harvard Scrubber to deidentify the reports. I’m in the process of setting up a linux server for this.

Thanks for the details John. That’s very helpful.

    Best,
