    Passaging Cell Lines in OpenSpecimen

    Hi OpenSpecimen Community,

I was curious how you or your end users record making passages of a cell line. Some researchers use a technique of passaging with fibroblasts, basically creating aliquots of an aliquot. We have an end user that can have up to 40+ passages of their primary cell lines. Is there a better way to do this in OpenSpecimen besides creating aliquots of aliquots? I’m thinking ahead that the labels for these specimens could get very long, very quickly. If we turn off label tokens, then they would have to but the unique labels in, but they are processing a lot of samples in the CP event. I’d welcome any ideas or advice for this kind of topic.
    Thanks!
