  • Problem with the event label when importing

    Hello everybody,

    I have a problem with imports.
    When I use the master template, if I do not supply a manual label in openspecimen when I go import it puts my samples in unplanned.

    But if, for example, I give an event label in manual, it will put all my samples with the same name of event label that will be first in the list while my import file contains the information “Event Label” and “Visit Name” supplemented with different names.

    I would like to know how to proceed to have samples with each their different label label with the master template file.
    I get the impression that openspecimen does not take into account the event label field and the visit name in the import file, this is a bug ?

    Thank you in advance for your help.

    Best regards,
    Jeremy

    Hello @jeremybeuzelin,

    Which version of OpenSpecimen are you using? You can get this information by clicking ‘i’(info) icon on top right.

    @Creating planned specimen using bulk:
    To link specimens loaded via bulk import to planned specimens, we have supported using ‘Specimen Requirement Code’ in Master template as part of v3.4. Please refer to https://openspecimen.atlassian.net/wiki/x/IICHAQ for more details. If you don’t see code fields while creating collection protocol, please refer to https://openspecimen.atlassian.net/wiki/x/BIC_Aw.

    @Specimen getting same names as event label
    Have you set label formats in your collection protocol? Please use different tokens listed here if you need a different format of auto-generated labels: https://openspecimen.atlassian.net/wiki/x/cgcR

    @Linking specimens to different events
    This was not possible in the previous master template as event label field was not part of the template. In v3.4, it is present now. So in the previous version, it used to link it always to first event.

    Hope this answers your queries.

    Thanks,
    Poornima

    Hello @pgovindrao ,

    We use version v3.3.

    The v3.4 version seems to solve the main problems we encounter. I will first update Openspecimen and keep you informed.
    The big problem was that Openspecimen put the samples with the same “Event Label” for everyone while they were on other visits.
    I think my problem is that the visit name field is not taken into account when importing with the master template.

    I thank you for your responsiveness. :slight_smile:
    I return to you as soon as my tests are finished.

    Regards,
    Jeremy
