  • Shipping of containers

    I have a problem I cannot figure out. Often I will be transferring (shipping you could say) an entire box of samples to another site on campus that is setup within our instance of open specimen and our collection protocol. However, once you choose to ship or transfer the samples, you lose the container and the order they are in. I can get around this by simply altering the parent container to one in the new site, but then we loose all audit and transaction records. Is there a way to “ship” containers?

    Currently, there is no way to ship containers in OpenSpecimen. This is present in the product roadmap and will be fixed in the coming releases.
