    Hello Poornima,

I downloaded Open Specimen few days ago from this website: http://demo.catissueplus.org/releases/. The Open Specimen V.1.0.1 installable zipped file date to October 3rd. I am getting a bunch of errors, Please check below and advice.

For the Sign Up Link, getting this message : HTTP Status 404 - /pages/XssViolation.jsp

For the Detailed Summary, getting this message : [ServletException in:/pages/content/summary/Home.jsp] null

When I try to open a query that is there, getting this message : Permission Denied. I cannot Edit a query

When I transferred over the data from Plus to Open Specimen via Import SQL Dump, the Collection protocol, and related information did not transfer over from caTissue Plus MySQL database to Open Specimen MySQL database (via Import Dump), but the Specimen and Distribution Protocol did transfer over. What would be the reason?

Please let me know what is the problem.

    Thank You for your help

    Nadia

    Hey Poornima, here’s an update:

Ok I was curious to see why this took place. I re-installed the Open specimen and both the detailed summary and sign-up link worked

The Sign up and detailed summary issues are not there. As for the query I clicked the Edit Query, I do not get the error message but I cannot Edit it at this point. Why?

Tested it further, imported the old data from the caTissue Plus table and then I had the same issues that I reported before. Luckily we do not have that much data, otherwise, I won’t be able to export them over. I am curious why this is happening. My understanding from your Webinars is that is when you go from version to another, you can take your data with you. It seems this is not the case. In both cases in Plus and Open Specimen installations, I used MySQL 5.1 for the database.

    Thanks

    Nadia

Nadia, You cannot import Plus DB into OpenSpecimen DB. You will need to run the upgrade steps mentioned in the deployment guide.

    Hello Sri,

Ok thanks for the response back. Since this is new, I went for a new installation. I will check.

I am assuming though that you can import from different versions of Open Specimen, correct?

    Thank You

    Nadia

    Hi Sri, Poornima,

I followed the steps mentioned in the document for the database configuration, getting the same results.

    Thanks
