  • Transfering specimen from foreign repository to 'my' repository

    Hi together!

    Right now, I have problems like this and I don’t know if it is a bug or wrongly setup:
    I have users, having access to repository A and other users having access to repository B. Both users are from same collection protocol. My Problems are the following:

    If I’m allowed to ‘create’, ‘update’ and ‘read’ visits and specimens, I can (wrongly) store a specimen from participant X in my repository B, even if this specimen is actually stored in repository A. This means, I can transfer specimens within the same collection protocol from one repository to another, without making any ‘shipment request’. For me, this Looks like bug.

    Does anyone know a Workaround to avoid this Problem?

    Kind regards
    Daniel

    @Daniel_Lengwiler This is a bug in OpenSpecimen. During transfer specimen, we currently only check the permission to the target container and not the source container.

    We will be fixing this in v3.3 or 3.4.

    You can track the bug ticket here: https://openspecimen.atlassian.net/browse/OPSMN-3163

    @Daniel_Lengwiler

    The issue highlighted by you has been fixed in v3.4, which should be available for general use sometime in 12/2016.

    Thanks,
