Specimen Catalog allows biobanks to share specimen data with their research community. The researchers can search for specimens of interest and their associated data, applying filters like specimen type, anatomical site, etc.
There are two types of catalogs:
- Specimen-based (where each specimen is displayed in a row)
- Count-based (where the count of specimens is displayed)
The below videos represent the researcher’s view on a specimen and count-based public catalogs. It helps to understand how to navigate through the catalog screens and request specimens.
