Hello everyone,
OpenSpecimen includes a default workflow for collecting visits and processing specimens. Customers (with the workflow plugin) can customize this workflow based on their requirements, such as capturing centrifugation details for primary specimens or freeze event details for aliquots.
Why customize?
- Reduce the time taken to do data entry
- Reduce errors with fewer manual steps and built-in validations
Since this is a common workflow, it can be reused across multiple Collection Protocols. It can also be defined globally in the system JSON to use as the default workflow for all CPs.
We have created a short demo video showing two ways to use this workflow:
- Collecting a single visit and processing specimens for a participant.
- Collecting visits and processing specimens for multiple participants in a single batch.
